Roy Kent Head born January 9, 1941 is an American singer, best known for his hit record Treat Her Right. Head was born in Three Rivers, Texas, and achieved fame as a member of a musical group from San Marcos, known as The Traits. The group's sponsor landed their first recording contract in 1958 with TNT Music in San Antonio while they were still in high school. The Traits performed and recorded in the rockabilly, rock and roll and rhythm and blues musical styles from the late 1950s to the mid. First does best when it concentrates on songs that evenly balance power chords and pop hooks: The Other Side of Midnight cleverly balances a boisterous pop-tinged melody built on a pulsating bassline with plenty of powerful guitar riffing while Weekend Warriors layers its shout-along chorus over a slick rock backing that fuses programmed synthesizer lines with high-flying guitar work. Despite these occasional shortcomings, Head First manages to work, thanks to its consistent high level of energy.
