Información

For it's not the place to start if you want the best and most famous work in the Goffin-King catalog, missing the biggest covers of their compositions by the Shirelles, Little Eva, Bobby Vee, Herman's Hermits, Manfred Mann, the Chiffons, the Everly Brothers, and others. Goffin and King-A Gerry G. has been added to your Cart. Add gift options. Buy used. First off, this is a collection of tunes written, not performed, by the team of Gerry Goffin and Carole King should there be any question in the prospective purchaser's mind. Though Carole King became a standout performer in her own right in the '70's, the tunes here are those written by her and her husband and fed to a wide spectrum of material-hungry recording artists in the '60's. He sang on many Goffin & King demos and recorded some sides for United Artists in 1961. On display on this CD set is Love Eyes which appears here in stereo for the very first time. Another standout rarity is Some Of Your Lovin by the Honey Bees the Cookies under another name. This is the song which was a huge UK hit for Dusty Springfield, though it never charted in the US. What stands out is not only Carole Kings superb, enthralling melodies but also Gerry Goffins outstanding lyrics. One of Gerrys great strengths is that he can write from a womans vantage point as in, for example, You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman. Most often on , compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information. Being At War With Each Other. Carole King - Live at Montreux, 1973. being at war with each . This is a list of songs co-written by Gerry Goffin. Goffin 19392014 was an American lyricist, who formed a successful songwriting partnership with his wife, Carole King. Their first success was Will You Love Me Tomorrow, recorded by the Shirelles and a hit in 1961. Goffin later wrote lyrics for songs with several other composers, most notably Michael Masser. Budding songwriter has hit song written about her by school chum. She cuts answer record about him, Oh Neil tries again with answer record to immortal hit Tall Paul. For three years, from 1961 to 1963, Gerry Goffin and Carole King owned the franchise for the soundtrack of early-Sixties lives. Not convinced
